The Perkins Shipping Group is one of the largest privately owned companies in the Northern Territory. From its headquarters in Darwin, Perkins Shipping Pty Ltd provides shipping, transport and logistics services including multi-modal and global freight services, off-site receiving, stevedoring, customs services, warehousing and total project management.

The company operates liner and on demand shipping services across the breadth of coastal north Australia and throughout Southeast Asia, with a trans-shipment service through Singapore to almost anywhere in the world. With close to fifty years experience in the region Perkins Shipping built its reputation through its technical know-how, highly-experienced personnel, efficient inter-modal transport capability and ability to move difficult cargo to difficult places. Its versatile fleet consists of conventional cargo ships for deep water ports as well as RORO and landingcraft that can deliver to remote tidal beaches with minimal or no port infrastructure.

The Darwin terminal is situated two kilometres from the city centre at Frances Bay, with wharf amenities including five berths, domestic and international stevedoring and cargo handling facilities, break-bulk warehousing, fuel storage and reefer facilities, a road transport fleet, quarantine and customs facility and a slipway and marine engineering workshop.

The company has a number of strategic alliance partnerships including Northline Freight Management, Bulktrans, TNT Australia and International Air Logistics, and we service an international Client base that includes the U.N, Australian Defence Forces, Shell, BP, and McDermott Industries.
